Learning Biblical Hebrew

DB+

From context, Zephaniah 3:9 tells of the time coming when our Creator will draw the nations of the earth to learn a pure language, so that they will all know & call upon our Creator’s name Y’hovah together in one accord. Some translations  that best express this are The Scriptures, The New World Translation, Young’s Literal, and The Cepher.

Nathalie Blackham on page 91 of her book, “The Beauty of the Hebrew Language” shows why this “pure language” is Biblical Hebrew. Interestingly, this is the only verse in the Bible that contains all 22 letters of the Hebrew Language, plus the five letters that look differently when they are at the end of the word! Clearly this is a hidden confirmation.

Personally, I am one of the ones drawn to learn the Biblical Hebrew language, (as well as the Biblical calendar). So I soon learned the alphabet, then a few words, but then quickly got bogged down in grammar rules. Then a friend, also learning on her own, told me to watch “Aleph with Beth” on you-tube. Their approach was radically different, yet made total sense. We first learned English not by learning the alphabet & how to read & write words, but by listening to adults as they pointed to objects, spoke them, and as toddlers repeated. We soon caught on. by the time we went to school we could converse.

I won’t go into the details, but all of their materials, (including electronic flash cards with pictures & sound) on “freehebrew.online” are provided free! And they make learning so easy and so much fun, that I look forward to the next lesson every evening. I spend about 30 minutes per day, 6  days a week on it. The lessons are mostly watching their videos and repeating. The alphabet & vowel pointings are added in pieces after one is into it for awhile. The videos are creative, beautifully done, hilarious, and lots of fun…and there is not one word of English, and no English subtitles either. It is well suited for teaching the Biblical Hebrew language to people of any language on the earth!

Learning Hebrew has opened up Biblical insights in ways that are entirely missed in English. Perhaps I’ll be able to expound on this blog or do a follow-up blog before too long.

Also at freehebrew.online, explore their link to sellingjesus.org to become aware of yet another move of His Spirit at this time. It will also help one to see why they provide all of these materials free, and never ask for money.
